Architectural culture and conservation of monuments and historic buildings in Schwäbisch Hall

Architecture and conservation are highly regarded in Schwäbisch Hall - especially in the unique historical centre.

The historical townscape is complemented with high-quality modern architecture, such as the District Office, the Blendstatt hall, the Glashaus at Milchmarkt square, the Stadtgrabenring thoroughfare or the Kunsthalle Würth arts gallery. The highly regarded Haller Globe theatre was designed by a group of architects from Hall.

You may also find successful mergers of old and new architecture in this town, for example, the Hällisch-Fränkisches Museum or the New Building Hall (built in 1527!), connecting the historical flavour with a modern touch and up-to-date technology.

The construction department of the town of Schwäbisch Hall protects the architectural heritage and guides future developments.

The architectural association of Schwäbisch Hall informs about the subject of construction and promotes the awareness of high-quality architecture. It is further organising lectures and exhibitions as well as the Architecture Day (on the last Sunday in June) in the Architects' House, Obere Herrngasse, and it is awarding exemplary architectural design.
