Consent in the Hospital church

The Hospital church offers the ideal ambience for a big wedding gathering.

The Hospital church served as a parish church for the inhabitants of the Holy Spirit hospital, first mentioned in 1228. After the great fire of 1728, the reconstruction of the church as a part of the hospital complex began in 1731, according to plans by Johann Ulrich Heim. The cover fresco by Johann Michael Roscher shows Heaven with the Blessed from biblical and Church history, among them the reformer Martin Luther; the wall pulpit, extravagantly decorated with stucco works, shows for example the apostles Peter and Paul. The room is no longer used for services but was turned into a concert hall in 1964. The profaned church has the character of a baroque hall.

Marriage in the Hospital church will be a unique event. The big inner courtyard of the Hospital church provides a splendid scenery for a subsequent champagne reception and your reminiscent photos.

If you would like to marry in the Hospital church, please, contact the registry office of Schwäbisch Hall and the Touristik and Marketing, Inc., of the town of Schwäbisch Hall.
